My name is Paul David Hayman, I was born in Wellington on 23 March 1953.
1966-1970   I attended Wellington College.
1971  Worked for a civil engineering practice for a year and I completed a year of a civil engineer diploma course at Wellington Polytechnic.
1972-1979  Headed overseas. While overseas I worked in the construction industry, particularly the post tensioning industry in Australia and England and also some conventional domestic building work.
1980 -1995  I became a builder, with my own company doing full contract work in Northland. I completed many school contracts, built several telephone exchanges, many sheds and houses, quite a few of which I also designed.
1995-2000  I diversified into building information, building design and plan drafting. To supplement my income I did quantity surveying, commercial truss design& pre cut plans for various local building & hardware merchants.
2000-2005  As well as above I worked for the Far North District Council looking after their buildings in terms of condition grade assessments, health and safety audits and painting contracts. I investigated claims for a loss adjuster.
2005-2010  I stopped all commercial work as I had more than enough design and drafting business, including several large projects, several of which I project managed.
Projects
1998  The REAP centre in Puckey Avenue, Kaitaia. Design & project managed. $600,000.00 value in 1998.
2007-2008  I designed & project managed three projects at Okaihau College, combined value of $700,000.00 plus GST.
2009  I designed & project managed replacement cladding for Chalet 6 Club Paihia. Value 200,000.00 plus GST.
2009-10  I designed & project managed Powerhouse Christian Trust Church, Station Road, Kaikohe. Value $500,000.00 plus GST.
2010  I designed & project managed replacement cladding for Chalet 5 Club Paihia. Value $200,000.00 plus GST.
2011  I designed & project managed replacement cladding for Chalet 3 Club Paihia. Value $200,000.00 plus GST.
2012  I designed & project managed replacement cladding for Chalet 1 & Repairs to Core Block Club Paihia. Value $200,000.00 plus GST.
I have supplied plans for several educational institutions, namely; Totara North School, Kaeo Primary School, Whangaroa College, Kaikohe West School, Tautoro School, Okaihau College and Kerikeri Polytechnic.
